Waiata

New Zealand National Anthem.

Because it is sung in our Maori language  and then translated into english. The song is about love for god and one another and our Free land.

    I hope you had a great Christmas with your whanau! It’s great to get back from the Christmas and New Year break to see that you have completed plenty of the activities!
    The National Anthem is a great choice! It represents the culture of New Zealand. Did you know that it was written in 1876! But it wasn’t recognised as the National Anthem of New Zealand until 1940.
